Kepler Aerospace is a Bengaluru-based space-infrastructure and mission-operations company founded in 2018 by chief executive Navneet Singh and chief strategy officer Kiran Sharma. The Times of India reported that the founders met while working at the Indian Space Research Organisation, while Business Standard described Kepler's stack as satellite systems, avionics, ground infrastructure, mission operations and intelligence delivery for strategic, defence and commercial applications. Its own website describes global ground-station, satellite-subsystem and intelligence services; those claims are identified here as the company's own account, not independent confirmation.
The central satellite programme is prospective. Kepler says its seed financing will support an initial six-satellite swarm for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), using electro-optical, thermal and electronic-warfare sensors. Business Standard reported that the money would also support expansion of mission operations and avionics-as-a-service businesses, and said Kepler's network of more than 70 ground stations provides communications, tracking, telemetry, command and mission-operations capabilities. The Times reported that Kepler had passed preliminary design and mission-design reviews, but not yet selected a launch provider; it gave December 2027 as the target for a first launch. On September 1, 2026, Kepler announced an $8 million seed round led by Blue Ashva Capital and co-led by Finvolve and India Accelerator; both Business Standard and The Times of India reported it as the company's first external financing since its 2018 founding. The reports also said Kepler holds two prime contracts under the government's Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) programme to develop swarming satellite constellations for India's defence establishment, backed by about $4 million in grants. The funding reports do not disclose a valuation. The reviewed sources describe no completed launch outcome for the new constellation, so its stated December 2027 date remains a target rather than an operational milestone.
