NASA astronaut Anil Menon released a video of himself doing a headstand aboard the International Space Station on October 11 at 21:35 IST, or 16:05 UTC. The dated public X post pairs the clip with a message about exercising in orbit.

Menon described station exercise as requiring focus, determination and grit. In the accompanying caption, he credited Navy Captain Jack Hathaway as a friend who had also served as a personal trainer and coach. NDTV’s October 13 report links to the original post and identifies the headstand.

Menon was born and raised in Minneapolis to Ukrainian and Indian immigrants, NASA’s public biography records. An emergency-medicine physician, he launched on July 14, 2026 for an approximately eight-month stay aboard the station.

The October 11 timestamp dates the public release. The post does not provide a separate filming date or identify a new medical study behind its exercise message.
