Sanyark plans navigation satellites with $2 million pre-seed backing

Sanyark Space is developing a satellite constellation combining navigation and communications, backed by a reported $2 million pre-seed round. The funding was public by July 19, 2026, when The New Indian Express recorded that the Hyderabad company had raised $2 million. The September reports reviewed for this article do not establish a new closing date.

ETEducation’s September 26 report identifies Avaana and AUM Ventures as the investors. It attributes $1.5 million to Avaana and $500,000 to AUM Ventures, and reports that Sanyark will use the round to advance its satellite constellation and underlying technology.

The round is receiving fresh coverage: alongside ETEducation, TMC Insight published an article by Rich Tehrani on September 26 discussing Sanyark’s navigation and Internet of Things ambitions. TMC cites ETEducation for the funding and The New Indian Express for earlier technical progress; its analysis is current circulation, rather than independent confirmation of a new transaction.

ETEducation describes a software-defined low Earth orbit constellation combining precision navigation with secure Internet of Things communications. It calls the design Navigation-Communication, or NAV-COM, and reports that the company is developing it for defence and commercial applications. These are development objectives, rather than a documented operational service.

The next dated target in the older reporting is a 16U CubeSat launch by March 2027. The New Indian Express also reported Technology Readiness Level 4 for Sanyark’s precision-positioning technology on July 19. That launch remains a stated target in the reviewed record, rather than a completed flight.
