Bengaluru-based OXG Space plans to use a ₹17 crore funding round for Mission Synapse, an orbital technology demonstration programme. Moneycontrol reported the funding on 14 October, identifying Aum Ventures as the lead investor and describing a 12-month programme to test the company's technologies in orbit.
The Times of India reported that Skyroot Aerospace co-founders Pawan Kumar Chandana and Bharath Daka participated, alongside Cosmoserve founder Chiran Phanindra. These are named individual investors in the reported round.
OXG Space is developing satellite connectivity and in-orbit computing infrastructure to process Earth-observation data in space and transmit it to users, Moneycontrol reported. The report identifies Akash Shetty and Sanjay Gorur as its co-founders and former Indian Space Research Organisation engineers.
Moneycontrol reported that Mission Synapse is intended to demonstrate a Ka-band phased-array antenna, a deployable mesh reflector for ground links and a deployable solar array for the communications and computing payloads. Its reported initial antenna link target is 1 gigabit per second. That performance and the orbital demonstration remain programme targets, rather than results established by the funding announcement.
