Pixxel and Poland’s Scanway plan to develop further generations of satellite imaging instruments and pursue international projects under a memorandum announced on 23 October 2026. Scanway’s regulatory filing identifies its partner as SpacePixxel Technologies Private Limited, based in Bengaluru.
Scanway’s announcement describes the agreement as an extension of a telescope supply relationship begun in 2025. The new work would adapt optical instruments for future satellites and constellations, with possible development across visible and infrared wavelengths.
The companies intend to seek projects in Europe, including institutional and defence contracts. Scanway would support Pixxel through its European presence and procurement knowledge; Pixxel could help the Polish company reach Indian customers and users of its satellite data, according to the filing.
They also envisage sharing engineering resources, testing facilities and components. A possible data-service business would combine Scanway’s optical hardware and image-processing work with Pixxel’s hyperspectral imagery and analysis, selling information derived from observations alongside instruments.
These activities remain proposed cooperation. The announcement discloses no additional telescope order, order value or committed revenue from the new work. European Tech Equities’ research note likewise distinguishes the memorandum from the existing supply contract; no customer award for the proposed joint bids is identified.
