Space Zone India targets October launch of twin rockets

Space Zone India is targeting 10 October 2026 for the RHUMI Twin mission, which it describes as a launch of two hybrid rockets from Tamil Nadu's coast. The date and rocket count appear in a company-distributed release published on 23 September.

The release was carried by ANI and The Tribune with a press-release disclaimer. It gives no launch time, detailed payload manifest or approval record. The target remains a company plan, not a confirmed launch outcome.

The company's earlier RHUMI-1 flight took place on 24 August 2024 near Thiruvidanthai. The Times of India reported that the sounding rocket released three CubeSats and 50 smaller pico satellites. Its reported altitude of 35 kilometres came from company founder Anand Megalingam.

A Nexora Techy LinkedIn post published on 18 September recirculated that older flight and its satellite counts. The post describes RHUMI-1 as reusable, but does not document a new launch or a later reuse.

The Times of India reported after the 2024 flight that the rocket had been located at sea and recovery by divers was planned for the next day. That report did not establish that recovery or a subsequent flight occurred. The next dated milestone in the available material is the company's 10 October target for the separate twin-rocket mission.
