Indore municipal officials have outlined satellite survey results in reports published on October 30, 2026. The Times of India quotes additional commissioner Prakhar Singh on municipal data listing 595 structures without valid building permissions and 1,392 cases involving deviations from approved plans.
The figures describe an existing programme. The newspaper identifies 726 satellite and geographic information system Red Patches marking construction initiated since 2023. Agnibaan’s October 30 report also describes a three-year campaign and gives the same two violation counts. The site count and violation categories are different measures.
Commissioner Kshitij Singhal told the Times of India that the Property Information Management System portal maps construction activity with the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation. Ward and zone records allow inspectors to compare buildings on the ground with sanctioned permissions.
The newspaper also attributes 28 demolitions and about 2.6 hectares of recovered public land to Singh. It gives no dates for those actions or cutoff for the figures; they do not establish that the demolitions occurred during the past week.
