EUMETSAT listed a Sentinel-3A ground-segment anomaly beginning at 23:12 UTC on 1 October 2026. Its initial service alert, relayed by NOAA on 2 October, marked data as delayed for eight Level 1 and Level 2 product streams, including marine and atmospheric products.

A recovery notice issued on 3 October changed the impact label to data-unavailable and marked the service recovered at 04:20 UTC on 2 October. The recorded interval from onset to recovery was five hours and eight minutes. The notices do not quantify missed products or identify affected users.

EUMETSAT says it distributes processed satellite data to users in Europe, Africa and worldwide through near-real-time and cloud services. The Sentinel-3A interruption therefore concerned a service with worldwide data access; the notices do not establish disruption for any particular country or application.
